A niche and precise surveying skill implemented when a concern arises on the structural performance of any given structure. Using baseline measurements and comparing subsequent measurements taken over a period of time one can analyse deviations and determine if remedial work is to be implemented to maintain sound structural conditions.
Lateral support / retaining structure deflection
This is a concern at most new development sites, usually basement excavations. We precisely measure the horizontal and vertical displacement of such structures and produce a report thereon.
Dam wall movement detection
A long-term task whereby we determine the deformation and/or movement of a dam wall over a period of time.
Landslide detection
Involves the detection of movement on slopes and/or rock faces as a result of unstable ground conditions by taking measurements at specific positions on the area concerned enabling us to produce measurements for engineers to interpret and make decisions on the safety of the area.
Structure deflection
Relates to propped/supported structures such as building slabs. Measurements would be taken by us of the structure while propped and are used as baseline measurements, thereafter a set of readings will be taken and once the props have been removed from the structure we can determine if the deflection of such structure is within the allowable tolerance.
We work closely with engineering teams who have long-standing reputations within their field and extensive knowledge on the structural integrity of features enabling us to provide clients informative and comprehensive reports.
